Working out what is amiss with this strange image may take a few moments; did the artist do this intentionally, or did they really manage to unintentionally output something so ridiculous?
In case you are having trouble still:

lol too small
Perspective Fail :P
The train looks so shopped. lol
Why do i feel like you didnt notice it :P
Didn't see it at first, lol'd heartily upon noticing though.
Maybe that's a giant girl, since the scenery is small as well
Then her book is giant as well :))
Well, giant girls need giant... books
that great pictures put more
Giant girls got more than just giant books
she could swat that train flat with her giant book!
Well, giant girls need giant… boobs *Fixed*
exactly what i thought
I was gonna say the same thing!
i was gonna say this lol
Maybe shes a mecca in disguise?
I'd pilgramige to worship that, if you know what I mean!
Probably a train miniature?
LOL! Had a good laugh xD
She is a Meltrand.
Ever thought of an immense model railroad ?
looking at the background seems everything is small. A giant girl perhaps?
The grass and the fence aren't small compared to the girl. And the power lines above the railroad seems to be at a pretty normal height above the track... Must be a very, very narrow train.
Actually, only the grass and other foilage would appear to be of proper scale. That fence is too small for its purpose (at least based on all my observations, that type of fence is supposed to be taller than the average adult, since it's a type to keep unauthorized personnel out), and likewise the wooden pole is too short, and the electric wires and signal lights are too low.
Why don't we all just say that the artist drew the girl and her book too big instead of pointing out that everything excluding the girl is too small? That makes more sense to me instead of listing the longer list of things that look 'small'.
I think it's because the girl is supposed to be the subject/focus of the pic. Or at least is now playing that role. Everyone needs a reference and I rarely see people use the background image as the reference compared to the subjects in a picture/drawing.
But I'm not graphics/arts major, so I don't know anything...
‘Why don't we all just say that the artist drew the girl and her book too big ...?’ Because that isn't the only major problem. Imagine the picture without the girl. Even now the train couldn't be much bigger, or it would crash into the wooden pole. Yet the power-lines are high up there...
To make this more rigorous, I encourage you to take profile into account. (http://www.sleutelspoor.nl/img/voor%20elk%20vervoer%20een%20wagen/04%20Voor%20elk%20vervoer%20een%20wagen_blz003.jpg [http://www.sleutelspoor.nl/img/voor elk vervoer een wagen/04 Voor elk vervoer een wagen_blz003.jpg]) Match it to the rails - you'll find that the train will be quite small, although I doubt she's sitting quite profile-free. Note that the profile I linked to is actually slightly oversized by international standards.
No, the fence is definitely small compared to the girl. She shouldn't be one and a half times taller then a fence that is the same height as the tunnel a train will be coming out of...
I think I can see what the artist is getting at. The girl is crouching on a raised platform, say about four feet high. If you continue the rails below the bottom edge of the picture you would see the intended perspective. The far end of the platform has been obscured, this would also show that it was raised. Not terribly well drawn.
... or so I thought until someone pasted a train onto it. NOT well drawn AT ALL.
look at her shadow, she just is big
lol he messed up on the perspective XD
Things I saw:
1. The low fence
2. The tunnel going into a tree/pyramidal mountain(but lookit the back of the mountain, arent those trees?!?!)
3. The girl's on a platform, which made the perspective of the rail/tunnel correct.
4. However, if you do not see the girl as she's on some platform, then the whole thing would be a miniature railway XD and the tunnel is a board or something that stands there and not going into the tree/pyramidal mountain.
and more . . .
Darn it this artist is a genius!!!
The most strange thing is narrow railway (check how shadow of the book covers almost half of it) on the horizontal line through the girl. The whole thing is messed because of it.
Could it be that this artist is in fact some kind of latter day M.C. Escher?
If it wasn't for her shadow and the fact that her feet is in the scene, I'd say she was in front of a poster or something... one of her legs looks more like a shadow.
But yeah, proportions... she's a giand girl waiting to crush the little train. XD
I thought she was on a high platform lol
Well it does look screwed up. <.<
even though she is on a platform (which you can see from the shadow of it) I'd assume it would be to 'get onto' the train, so,
weiiiirrrrd D:
If she's on a platform then the grass on the side of the track are huge.
Obviously, it's a promo still for the upcoming anime remake of "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman".
Nothing wrong with the picture, she's simply visiting the amusement park where I work over the summer...

+One of the power lines ends behind the girl's head. Besides, aren't there way too many of them for one line of train tracks? One train only needs 2 I think, not 4 and a half.
If you look closely you can see that the fifth power line does continue beyond her head. It's just hard to see against the light background.
Is this a promo image for a commercial product?
If so, another possibility is that the background and the character were drawn by different artists, and the image is a result of poor compositing by an inexperienced designer in marketing...
Has anyone noticed the shadow for both the platform and the tracks? Thta's either:
A) TALL Tracks
B) short Platform
C) Another fail for inconsistant lighting perspective.
But yeah...Things don't look at all to scale between the subject and the scenary.
Nice character though.
I think she is standing at an edge and the tracks are below her making them aper to be smaller than they rille are
Its a giant girl. Period.
wow. . . mini train???? ;;^^a
Why does her shadow stop at the tracks?
Speaking from an artist's stance, it's just easy most times to overlook the relative perspective of background versus character when the focus is on the character. Most likely the character was designed, and then some sort of reference was used for the background. This reference may have not been to scale with the character but once again... it's easy to get distracted by the presence of a well designed character. So that's what I think is happening with this one.
It's a trap.
