Schoolgirls Sell Classmate for Sex

Two girls who forced a classmate into prostituting herself to older men, and took all the ensuing revenue from her, have been arrested.
The pair, one currently enrolled in high school and the other having dropped out, and both sixteen years of age, apparently decided they needed some more money, and opted to sell a classmate to get it.
The girl they selected, also sixteen, was known to them from class; using a keitai dating service they made her conclude an exchange with a salaryman in his thirties, and took the proceeds.
The girl they had been selling apparently became dissatisfied over not receiving any money, and reported them to police. She apparently had been sold on a number of occasions, and had passed to the money to the pair.
The pair admit to their crimes: “We did it ‘cause we wanted some money to play around with.”
They have both been charged with violating child welfare laws.
We do not hear what price she was sold for.

The report is clear that she was “made” to sell herself, but it is not clear whether this was by way of force, persuasion or trickery…

I understand she could have been bullied into it, but to give them the money without a peep? why not go to her parents or the police the first time?

I can actually agree with you there. Blackmail does seem to fit. There is probably something hidden behind the actual truth of it all.
I think the two girls evidence of her with other guys and asked her why not sell herself for money instead. Then she agreed and gave to money to her friends for safekeeping so her parents wouldn't find out but never got any of it back.
From what I can read (based on what was given), seems that she wasn't forced or persuaded. Saying that she has done this other times, has me suggest that she did it on her own free will. But what gets me is that the classmate seems to have been working with them on this. Is she was passing the money to the pair of girls, then why would she get mad now? Why would she care about the money over herself being sold? Just sounds fishy to me.

The two girls should have give her a cut of the money earned. Then things will go on like before. Those two were clearly too greedy and paid the price.

Exactly right. The fact is that this girl is now going to have the guilt that she has gotten her classmates into trouble, that they are now going to be labeled as 'sex offenders', etc.

Okay, a few problems with this story: 1. How in the world would they have gotten the girl to go along with this? Even if someone THREATENED TO KILL MY PARENTS OR SIBLINGS.... I wouldn't go along with this in the slightest.
and 2. How in the world would the girls parents have not noticed this?
I swear, this sounds, in all honesty, like a girl who was prostituting herself out of her own willingness with the help of her friends (with them keeping all the money because the girl just wanted the sex) and now is trying to whine about it to the police in order to get sympathy and maybe a payout from someone.
