One possible factor is an upcoming fan club event, which offers a free poster of Nagi-sama herself, but even to maniacs we would not think this rather plain poster would hold appeal equivalent to two or three figures.

I think she's a pretty interesting character with at least some depth. She's kinda goofy but essentially good-natured and can get serious as well.

where is zange fan club card template?
I'm afraid there isn't one, at least on the threads.
I applied to the official Kannagi Fan Club a while back, but since I have no reply that means that I wasn't picked (were the last 1000 cards).
Many people like a girl with some experience, apparently.
A card template and a little bit of photoshooping and I can has a membership card lulz XD
I think it would be pretty cool if the members held secret meetings (i.e. Membership benefits).
Otherwise it's just a piece of plastic.

How much did those cost before?
The manga style one was a gift from Animate shops, before the anime was on air.
For the numbered one (the anime style), you had to apply the request in the anime's official homepage and the member cards were sent by mail.
Both were free.

Agreed with above, I believe there are BETTER member-card-worthy pictures of Nagi-sama and I seriously KNOW there are people who can make better membership cards than that . . .
If you do not love Nagi-sama enough, getting this official membership card really doesnt prove anything . . . (like someone can get it on a high bid and burn it in front of the fan's faces =.=)
There is something about Nagi-san yes. But $250?? For a piece of card??? I wouldn't even pay $20.... Most I'd pay for one is about £5(about $7.50 now).
But saying that, Nagi-san is awesome. I can't wait to get a figure of Nagi-san!
