A gallery of girls illustrated wearing the most charming of Chinese female attire, variously called the cheongsam, 旗袍 / qipao, or China dress (Chinese dress). In fact, in Japan it is almost exclusively referred to as the “China dress”, so that will serve well enough as a title.
You can view these images, and more, on the Channel.

See also the yukata/kimono gallery for a similar, but Japanese, theme. Or take a look on the Channel…
does it matter that many of these are NOT china dress ?
a great many of these do not belong to a list of china dresses.
To set the record straight, the qipao is actually Manchurian in origin, with a short history of 300 years. It evolved into the tight fitting shape during the 1920s in Shanghai, but now has a slutty image with anime depictions.
The genuine ‘china’ dress is called the Hanfu, which is more elegant and classical.
Manchu is not China?
The last one isn’t Cheoungsam though, neither does it belongs to the Chinese
I think it looks like an ao dai, a Vietnamese dress that kind of looks similar to the cheongsam or whatever it’s called.
Cheongsam/Qipao/Shanghai dress/China dress is China’s biggest contribution to mankind since gunpowder and astronomy and various form of mathematics and compass and cheap workforce and the great wall ( build by cheapworkforce ) and everything else they exported to the rest of the world.HaHAHA.
CHINA DRESS!!!!!!!! THANK GOD FOR WHOEVER CREATED THEM
errrr…..chinese?
Nah, pretty sure they were created by Manchurian agents. ;3
