Munto TV Anime Announced

Well received “save the magical kingdom” anime Munto, hitherto released by Kyoto Animation in OVA format, is due to get a TV adaptation.
The TV version will also be by Kyoto animation, and is concisely subtitled 空を見上げる少女の瞳に映る世界 / Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai, or “The World Reflected in the Eyes of the Girl who Gazes up at the Sky”, which likely indicates no surprises in the direction of the story.
The title is due to air in early spring, 2009. Cast and similar is undecided, though presumably we can expect many seiyuu to reprise their roles. A new OVA is also hinted at.

Yay! More Munto! I don't really care what order Kyoani decides to put their stuff out, I just want to see more well animated and awesomely directed stuff.
very surprised that they are foregoing little busters in favor of this, their key adaptions have all be extremely well recieved
This is awesome. Munto was already well animated; it was just waaaaay too short and thusly crunched into being something that wasn't good. I expect a full-blown TV series will do it wonders.
Also, victory for the folks who like laughing at people who want more Haruhi/FMP?

I must admit I am not unimpressed by their reluctance to churn out more Haruhi.
Wow it seems like there is serious problems with Haruhi, we pretty much have heard nothing for months now. I also heard there were some production problems so maybe they might wait till fall. Also why this of things now? They have Full Metal, Little Busters, and Haruhi but decide to go back to something like this now? This along with cancellation of 501 seems like there might be problems with Kyoto that we might not be aware of.
Finally something explain what the hell is going on? Or is it yet another "Hey guys, after some years since the last Munto, here's our new animation skills!" stunt?

This is gonna be KyoAnis fist original TV series right? That isn't an adaptation.
