here here. i totally agree. why just narrow yourself down to the 2d when you can embrace the original on which manga is based. (i'm not saying that these women came before the series, but rather women in general existed before manga... kinda goes without saying really, but i wonder how many of you really remember that at times like this, or anytime at that) remember, 3d has depth, but 2d is as shallow as the cel it used to be painted on.

Why is it that every other time we see Japanese cosplayers they all look dead on as to who they are supposed to be, but it took me forever to figure out the one was supposed to be Trude, and even then the rest of them don't look like who they are. This is very disheartening to say the least.

i agree with that, i mean i liked the ones in the TMA version
Byegone does have a good point - apart from Yoshika/Mio it'd be very hard to get a good looking Strike Witches cosplay, panties just don't sit on 3D people's bodies in the proper way, and if they could be fashioned to do so, it'd probably look unrealistic (and possibly illegal).
Yoshika/Mio's sukimizu are much more doable for cosplay, and Sanya/Eila should be too.
Of course, this is assuming non-Strike Unit mode cosplay =)
