A character “closely resembling” the Prime Minister of Japan, Taro Aso, a man noted for his otaku proclivities, is set to appear in an upcoming “weapon girl love adventure game”, or eroge to the rest of us. It’s not clear just how “active” his role is to be.
The game in question, due 2009, is 真剣（マジ）で私に恋しなさい！！ / Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!! (the title using some wordplay based on the word for ‘serious’ being the same as that for ‘real sword’), an eroge focused on the prospect of courting, or perhaps besting, various weapon oriented girls, each with their particular martial theme.
The PM comes into the picture with a recent update of the supporting characters:
His hobby (reading), his most important thing (Japan), and even his height (175cm) are strikingly similar to Mr Aso, and that is without even mentioning the matter of his trademark lopsided sneer. He is known as “Souri”.
Having a PM(-like character) appear in an eroge in such a role may be a first, though certainly far more scathing parodies exist (and he is well liked by otaku anyway), so it will be interesting to see what, if anything, happens, as some are speculating that the character may not survive until release.
Whatever the case, it has certainly succeeded in attracting vastly more attention to this actually rather original looking title than might otherwise be the case.
If you can’t wait for the title, do check some of the weapon girl galleries in the meantime for some relief.

given how much he is liked by the Otaku culture I hope he is presented well. if they make him look good (Hero or villan) it would be faltery of the highest degree.

Are you sure his name is "Souri"? Because the word Souri (総理) simply means "Prime Minister". Does this game involve conspiracy theories and stuff? Maybe he's the Commander-in-Chief of this Secret Battalion of supernaturally-gifted girls.
And I wonder if this PM gets involved in "action", if you know what I mean. ;)
He's got a sneer that resembles a villain, but the Akiba otakus love Aso, so I wonder if this PM is actually a good guy?
