Valkyria Chronicles Gets Official Yaoi Manga Version

Excellent strategic PS3 RPG 戦場のヴァルキュリア / Valkyria Chronicles, due in English in November, is set to receive a manga adaptation, which in something of a surprising move, is to be a BL title focused on homoerotic senpai-kouhai antics.
The story looks to be focused on the interactions between manly veteran sniper Julius Klose and cowardly boy engineer Mintz… I think you can see where this is going.
As if the art were not a dead giveaway, it is to be published in “comic B’s-LOG”, a magazine very much aimed at the ladies. It’s not clear how far the content will go, but presumably Sega will curtail any extremes of the shoujo genre.
We’re not told if these manga characters will find their way back into the game or not. The DLC for Valkyria has been piling up, with the latest allowing play from the perspective of magnificent antagonist Selvaria, so it seems a possibility.
Whilst there were plenty of homosexual characters in the original, homoerotic themes were generally not present, so this is something of a surprising direction. The audience for the game presumably also includes an unexpectedly high proportion of ladies too, then?
