Shooting Witches – Strike Witches Games (Download)

The second, of what could hopefully be a long line of unofficial Strike Witches shooting games, has been released. It is a vertically scrolling shoot ’em up in the modern style of Touhou and the like, and quite entertaining, so give it a try if you are so inclined. I have also included the first, which is a side scroller, more basic, but with more pantsu.

Instructions: unzip and run the exe. For best results, play with a joypad, but if you are lacking one, you can also play with the arrow keys and the ‘Z’ key (fire). ‘V’ pauses, enter goes fullscreen, and escape quits.
The complete controls:
A: Shoot.
B: Magic Shield (usable with the gauge at max, replenishes naturally, faster when not firing).
L: Speed up while button is pressed.
R: Speed down.

The first, but more basic, game is now lost in the oblivion 2ch threads go to, but I have managed to rescue a copy, which you are welcome to download here.

omg it takes 3 or max 4 minute to complate all stage ... Anyways, short game but very enjoyable.
Nice find! Great to see fans still loving SW, even after it's over.
Was able to play both games smoothly, but the STG game should of have a secondary firing mode(Like Shift on Touhou), since spamming shields and hastily dodging bullets won't keep you alive forever.
Is there any playing guide? Or is the generic arrow key movements with fire and shield buttons all there is?

I assume fire, magic shield, and pause are the only controls? We got 3 Witches so I wonder if we can switch Witches or they're just following Miyafuji :P

I played this game for like, 5 minutes, then went back to playing Psyvariar.
I don't think anyone reasonably expects it to compare with a commercial title, or with the likes of Touhou.
For what it is, it is a more than convincing effort, though I'd be interested to see what an official title would hold...

i cant seem to get it installed......it says a file clled d3dx9_30.dll is missing......can someone help pls.....im running it on a vista
