Popular fantasy light novel and manga series 鋼殻のレギオス / Koukaku no Regios / Chrome Shelled Regios is due to receive an anime adaptation, set to begin airing in January 2009.
The light novel series, by 雨木 シュウスケ / Shuusuke Amagi, and with art by lady illustrator 深遊 / Miyuu, is set in far future science fantasy milieu, with the story unfolding on the distressingly common stage of an academy.
Whilst the franchise is gaining steam, and by most accounts the novels are good, the anime seems to have eschewed any big names, whether in production or vocal work, so it may interesting to see how things unfold…
