Fans have been quick to voice their considerable discontent at the latest developments in the anime adaptation of To Love-Ru; animation quality is said to have taken a nosedive in the latest episode (21), but more shockingly, volume two of the DVD edition has reneged on the usual arrangement with fans of putting up with wretched television censorship in exchange for an ecchified DVD release: fans are outraged that nipples are barely visible, and that saucy underwear remains replaced by normal clothing, with only the sop of mysterious tentacle molestation liquid to mollify them…
Originals above:
DVD edition has become colourful.
No change… The manga has some charming underwear.
In these cases we have some progress. The last scene shows some white specks which could be the icing on the cake, or merely water droplets…
At several points the DVD does definitely deliver the expected increases in visibility, but not in a spectacular fashion:
Particular attention is being paid to this mysterious liquid ensuing from a tentacle molestation scene, which was added to the DVD release.
Sources here and here. The same was true to a lesser extent of the first DVD. At least there is always the manga…
On the matter of the deficient later episodes (several have received a panning over quality issues), animation quality is not readily visible from simple frame grabs, but you can still see something of the episode in question… Could To Love-Ru have outlived its favourable reception? Or perhaps fans are merely demented satyriacs?
Well, that’s because you paid attention to it..
Ahhh, implied nudity, so much better than full nudity.
…weit, what have I been drinking?
For that comment you must want repent and from here on watch only Non-Ecchi anime. Since everyone knows that even with drink Nudity is better no matter how much and with a certain amount of drink nudity becomes even better since you can basicly but any partial nudity into a much better prospective with pished vision
Seems if you just adjust the contrast of your TV you’ll get some of those scene in the dvd versions.
What more can you expect from anime based on manga which is released in the same magazine that releases naruto and bleach… this series is targeted to kids.. but even they prefer kanokon 😉
I wouldn’t say it’s targeted to kids… it’s not meant to disclude them but I think it’s aimed as adults as well.
