This is no ordinary gallery, so allow me to explain: this is actually a collection of illustrations drawn collaboratively on 2ch, in a sort of game or interactive art. They are most moesome.
The basic flow is that the kind artist will start a thread, and request a situation or design, and then specify which reply’s suggestion will be used (e.g. >>5, the fifth post in the thread gets to specify), triggering a flurry of posts to try to get the specified response.
After this, the artist will come back and post the illustration asked for, and then specify the next reply, and this continues until the thread maxes out at 1000. This can take a few days.
Since seeing how what’s asked for translates into an illustration is rather interesting, I’ll also provide the relevant replies. There are three threads, so I’m going to present one here, and the rest in a pool on Sankaku Channel. There are plenty more there.
“An ‘onnya no ko’ with a fluttering skirt and drooping dog ears.”
“A fox-eared girl wearing a pair of low-leg pantsu!”
“A naked mouse-eared girl wearing a doctor’s coat.”
“A pro-shoot aniki.” (!?)
This took some arranging, eventually this was trotted out:
(What was meant:)
神のみの栞 (I gave up on this).
“A nekomimi-ko wearing a thin white one-piece dress and a straw hat. I’d like it if the outline of her body was visible…”
“Pop ‘n’ music’s Σ.”
“Sanya.” (Strike Witch)
“A bob cut and a sports bra and striped pantsu. With usamimi (rabbit ears).”
“Fujiwarano Mokou.” (Touhou character)
“A silver haired wolf and a yukionna (snow fairy).”
When told that what was meant was more a fusion of the two, he came out with this:
“Bloomer tanuki-mimi with short sleeves.”
“A fox-eared miko with big ears.”
This sort of game is not itself so very uncommon, but what I would say is rather uncommon is artist of evident skill going about this. The illustrations really are very nice, I think you’ll agree. The artist is an anonymous Vipper, so I’m afraid no further information is forthcoming.
