Shoujo Sect Ero-Anime Impressions

Popular yuri ero-manga 少女セクト / Shojo Sect, by 玄鉄絢 / Kurogane Ken, has finally had its anime debut, with the release of an adult OVA having just taken place. Below is the exacting ero-analysis I have conducted, and my findings indicate fans of yuri high school love are unlikely to be disappointed.
The story is set in a fairly standard all girls school milieu; it reminded me of Utena (especially with the inexplicable hierarchy of girls), but without the surreal elements, or any men, and of course with more sex.
The story seems promising enough, and the characters are quite likable, although it seems to be a little confusingly in medias res. Of course, at an early stage like this it isn’t really fair to judge the story, but such are my impressions.
One thing I did notice was that the erotic pacing seemed a little off; whilst I do understand from anecdotes related to me that all girls schools are lascivious dens of lesbian debauchery, the quick on / off scenes don’t serve to add much sexual tension or build-up, although they do at least keep things interesting. Perhaps it would have been better to consolidate them a little. The sex scenes, by the way, are good.
The character design is accomplished, and the young ladies illustrated are at times splendid to behold.
Talented voice acting, good character design and good animation throughout make this a promising start to would could be a reasonably lengthy OVA series if successful. Perhaps more effort might have been spent on animating some of the more carnal scenes to good effect, but otherwise production values are high.
Below is a chapter of the manga – as you can see the differences are fairly substantial (I’m not sure if we’re into gensaku raep territory, however), but they seem to have maintained the general feel of the work well enough.

this is little hard to believe...
I saw this OVA yesterdy. What a surprise to know more about it.
Watched this and they totally messed the plot and removed most of the funny parts, but it was nice to see the girls animated. Incest chapter was total lol in the manga.
Nice. I wonder how the production quality is. Most adult ovas are so bad it hurts to watch >_<
It's like watching a normal anime, so no problems there. My only misgivings are over the breast animation...
Dammit, I want to watch this too but I eh, cannot understand too much of raws...though I could watch it. Nice and thanks for bringing a better review than someone else did (j***ne).
I normally don't watch ero anime because most of them are really low quality, but I'll definitely give this a try!
