This gallery is devoted to a pair of useless Haruhi minor characters you may understandably have forgotten about, that is, Asahina Mikuru (Haruhi cosraep material) and Ryouko Asakura (Nagato’s whipping girl). Enjoy.
You are proceeding to a page containing mature content. Is this OK?
check Yes, show me everything
why mikuru WHY!? i love her
LOL, Asakura as one of the iDOLM@STER’s idols.
Hee, hee, hee!
Yes! I didn’t think there was anyone I disliked more than the haughty, self-centered, tsuntsun-from-hell Haruhi but a sniveling, quivering Mikuru got awfully close.
Labeling her as the minor-cosplay raep chara that she was is just so fitting.
On the other hand, Ryouko Asakura may have been a minor character but I wouldn’t call her useless. Ryouko’s fight with Nagato got to showcase what a bad-ass artificial humanoid interface Nagato really is.
Actually, the only episodes of tMoHS that were worth a damn were the ones with a strong Nagato presence.
The only useless (female) character in the Haruhi-verse would be Tsuruya. Her fandom is not unlike the ones for Transformers: “Never has so much been made about so little.”
Yeah, I know that there is a Tsuruya Gallery on this site too so I should watch what I write about this character. However, if I am to agree with this site about Mikuru then I am also going to voice my opinion about the other Haruhi-girls — good, bad or indifferent.
THANK YOU! caps is not enough to express my gratitude
It really is based on prefrance, but I also find that people who have read the books appreciate Tsuruya more because of the developments in the story. In the books she takes on a very strong and mysterious prescence, so much so that sometimes as a reader you find yourself asking questions like “Is Tsuruya the one who is pulling the strings of SOS Dan (Dan = Brigade in case anyone was lost on that) opposition?” or “Is she going to end up being the final enemy the dan must face?”
I think that is why many people are drawn to her, but if they have only seen the anime then I think you are problably correct(Fang-girlism is problably the cause). Characters like Mikuru do become more developed and rounded in the books, in fact Mikuru will play a vital part in the upcomming season, that is of course if they follow the fourth book and show the “Bamboo Leaf Rhapshody” events from the books; if not then nothing in the next season will make sense unless you read the books. So if you haven’t already, read the books on baka-tsuki, they are far superior to the anime. In comparison the anime sucks, which is saying something considering the anime was amazing.
– A Haruhist
P.S.: Asakura also plays a part in the next season, and the part is pretty important. So neither of these characters are “Useless” unless you have only gone as far as to watch the anime.
P.P.S.:Next time i’ll leave a shorter comment.
Ryouko’s fight with Nagato was the badest s♥♥t to grace the Haruhi series!
Nagato alone was my reason to watch it as well, including the battle they have over the lan with the space game. We get a glimps of her enjoying herself.
Nagato is also adorable in my opinion, being the silent/cute type.
You can be as critical as you like about Tsuruya-san or anyone (even Nagato) or anything else here; we all have different tastes after all.
Haruhi, like Lucky Star, is an anime I’m not wholly convinced deserves such an overwhelming following, but who am I to argue with that level of popularity.
I’m not really sure where Tsuruya-san got her following from anyway… I assume that some kind of fang moe plays a big part.
I love Mijuru, she doesn’t a minor character!!!!
ashakura is love
Why are you calling Mikuru a minor character? @_@
