A Firefox based NES emulator is not something I would have considered a likely development, but it seems someone has gone to the trouble, so now you can play thousands of NES games from your browser.
There are plenty of interesting games in there (plenty in Japanese too), but the shadow looming over this addon is surely the issue of copyright on those ROMs: at a 15kb download it has to be downloading the ROMs from somewhere, so unless it’s using P2P I fail to see how this is different from just putting them up on a webpage? At any rate, Nintendo doesn’t seem to care about such an old system.
Perhaps better to simply bear the inconvenience of downloading a traditional emulator and a ROM pack from somewhere? Interesting idea at any rate. Noticed here.

I can only see this as increasing the appetite of that resource hog we call FF.
There's also a site called VirtualNES where you can actually play the games online.
There needs to be one for the SNES. The greatest system ever.
