Juuzoh Minazuki

水無月十三 / Juuzoh Minazuki is an artist whose work has been a favourite of mine for some time. I can’t give the kind the kind of unqualified praise I’m delighted to lavish on the likes of Nekomata Naomi, but I can certainly introduce and recommend his works wholeheartedly. His works cross a variety of genres and formats, so you can probably find something to your taste. The stories, where actually present, are short but frequently well done, and certainly erotically charged. His main strength is doubtless his considerable artistic talent.

His most recent and main original work is 我が肉に群れ集い、喰らえ / Waga Niku ni Muretsudoi, Kurae (Gather at my Flesh, Devour!); it covers most of his more recent work, although there are some inexplicable omissions (the famous full colour story from Fractal being the most conspicuous in omission). It is well worth getting hold of.

There are also a variety of dojinshi (published under the pseudonym of にこまあく / Nikomark), as well as older original works, spread all over, and doubtless difficult to find, were it not for the kind souls who compile them online in the usual places.

Not all of them are good (or at least not up the established standard), but they are worth seeking out if you are a fan of his art, if only for completeness; I would not rate them very highly as derivative works however (art however ranges from ok to excellent). To be fair, it is probably best to give him the benefit of the doubt and mark these off as formative works, his real potential being realised with the likes of his most recent compilation.

He has also been involved in the art direction for the moderately amusing “オイラは番台 弐 / Oira wa Bandai 2”, a game in which you get to manage a public bathhouse whilst riddling it with cameras and the like, of course involving the usual compromising situations with nymphomaniacal patrons.

The art and voicing are good, but the business of hoarding cash for toys and cameras, and waiting for the mark you wish to spy on and then rushing over to peer through the correct hole in a wall, soon gets tedious and will likely have you downloading the CGs or a completed save in short order.
