Lucky Star DVD 11

Just watched the newly released 11th らき☆すた/Lucky Star DVD; I can’t confess to being much enamoured by the way it has been released on DVD.

Lucky Channel is as entertaining as ever.

Difficult to find much interesting material to illustrate this with.

It amuses me no end how Kujira (seiyuu noted for voicing Orochimaru) does almost all the extra voices, even if it is disquieting.

The Lucky Star DVD EDs and extras are awful. I’m not convinced at all by the DVD release; at 2 episodes per disc and pitiful extras it seems to not be a very good deal over, for example, watching the raws. There is also the game extra but this is rather weak, if a nice idea.

I would love if SanCom could go back to being written like this, but I can't blame the site's contributors because it's so hard to keep up and probably it's all done just for money now.

Formulaic posts work, even when they don't have personal opinions, which is pretty sad IMHO, because I like opinions.

R1 releases tend to be far better and fairly cheaper. Our Lucky Star SE release costs as much as the Japanese regular editon. The difference being the number of episodes and the amount of stuff.

    Sailor fuku t-shirt, anyone? No?

    Didn't think so..

Seriously, 2 episodes per disc at 5880 - 6930 yen a pop is daylight robbery.

Did you see what they did with the covers? The special edition had good covers, but the normal edition had parody style crayon covers - awful.

With Lucky Star fans, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.
