In a ruling possibly of crucial importance to Japan’s camera maniacs, a judge has ruled that taking lewd photos of ladies on the street is an offence whether it involves pointing a camera up their skirts or simply at their posterior, even when wearing tousers.
“I wanted to see ladies underwear”. A vice-principal who used a Sony PSP, modified to include a camera, to take upskirt photos of schoolgirls on a train has finally had his long running string of voyeuristic excesses brought to a close.
We hear that the deputy headmaster (59) of a Nagoya technical college was arrested for violating public nuisance laws aimed at preventing such covert photography, though it seems this arrest comes late in his career of serial voyeurism – he apparently was caught for same in 2001, but managed to get off with just a pay cut. Sankei is reporting that a (now former) Saitama high school teacher is being prosecuted for peeping up the skirts of his female students in class with a hidden camera. He told the court: “I wanted to peep” – sure to go down well with the judge. Seems he secreted the camera away in a couch. Just let them wear trousers, or alternatively, a innovative solution springs to mind above (Minamike).
