Girl Charged Over Fatal Blog Comment

We heard previously of the schoolgirl who killed herself based on a comment, “Die!”, left on her blog. Now it appears the girl (then 15) responsible for the comment, in fact her former classmate, is facing prosecution for insulting the girl and instigating a suicide.

77-Year-Old Murders Family – 4 Killed

The murder weapon was a hammer - expect them to be banned soon.

A 77-year-old man brutally slew his entire family, hammering them to death with blows to the head whilst they slept; his victims comprised his wife (75), his son (49), daughter-in-law (44), as well as his 4-year-old granddaughter, in what appears to be a failed murder-suicide.

Supermarket Seppuku

Honourable Japanese lady prepares to commit seppuku

In a change from the depressingly common efforts at suicide which severely inconvenience rail passengers, a lady instead apparently sought to do away with herself in the most honourable and traditional manner of cutting the belly; her choice of venue, a large supermarket in the middle of town, was a little less traditional though.

Girl Kills Self Due to “Die!” Comment on Blog

Just imagine it the opposite way round - Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

A 16 year old girl committed suicide, hanging herself, apparently in response to a “Die!” comment on her blog, leaving little doubt as to her motivation with a will laying stating her pains. She was said to be in shock after some earlier problems with classmates, and was taking a break from school, so it may be that this was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Newscaster 川田亜子/Ako Kawada (29), has committed suicide for reasons which still remain unclear, but whatever her thinking the lamentable act is causing something of a stir. Suicidal Man’s Vomit Poisons 54

Suicidal Man’s Vomit Poisons 54

A man who tried to kill himself by ingesting poison instead poisoned 54 with the noxious fumes emanating from his chlorine laced vomit, causing chaos and evacuation at the hospital where he was taken.

The man, a 34 year old farmer, apparently sought to kill himself by guzzling agricultural chemicals, but this would have unintended consequences when he was instead hospitalised and began to regurgitate the contents of his now thoroughly poisoned stomach. Those afflicted by his toxic ejecta included doctors, nurses, and patients including young babies; 54 reported illness, and 10 required treatment.

Unsurprisingly, the man died from the effects of the poison, the agricultural pesticide (and poison gas in the Great War) chloropicrin. He would doubtless be answering interesting questions posed by police had he survived, so perhaps this is as well. Via Asahi.
