The winner of a newly instituted prize for disabled artists was stripped of her title after it became apparent she had plagiarised a Studio Ghibli character; the judges, including an art professor and two gallery bosses, apparently suspected but awarded the prize anyway, whilst the organisers pointed out that they had not actually explicitly prohibited plagiarism.

Ghibli’s Karigurashi no Arrietty Adapts “The Borrowers”

New details have emerged on the unusual RPG collaboration between Level 5 and Studio Ghibli, entitled 二ノ国 / Ninokuni, or The ‘Another’ World, and due to be released on the Nintendo DS sometime in 2009.

I must admit I was very surprised at the quality of the erotic Studio Ghibli parodies around; they seem capable of attracting some talented artists indeed. You can see the fruits of their labours in these images.

Nausicaa seems to feature prominently, which is as well as the manga is a truly magnificent work. Kiki and Mononoke Hime also seem a popular choice for artists, though as yet the more recent titles are poorly represented. Perhaps they are unsuitable?

Since after culling deficient images there turned out to be rather more than anticipated, a portion was excepted and instead placed on the Channel, where you can as ever browse all these images and more.
