Hated Singapore anime licensor Odex continues its crusade against torrent using anime downloaders in Singapore, with its most recent move being to enlist the help of a number of Japanese studios to take legal action against a few downloaders who declined to roll over and pay a settlement.

The scuttlebutt is that the Japanese companies are concerned about fansub torrents because Japanese otaku are downloading them - apparently fansubs download faster than the raws, because of the sheer mass of international downloaders all... More

A man (36) who serially sniffed the armpits of 23 women and girls, ranging from 9 to 50, has been sentenced to 14 years of penal servitude, as well as a good caning, harsh even by the standards of order loving Singapore.
