Hiroshi Matsuyama, the CEO of CyberConnect2, the company responsible for the .hack and Narutimate Hero series of games, has confessed that he is a Naruto fan of legendary proportions, buying 15 copies of every volume and owning every issue of Shonen Jump published for the past 5 years.

Manga in Japan = One Piece

nico_robin_one_piece_mizugi.jpg

Manga in Japan appears synonymous with One Piece in much the same way that manga overseas is a shorthand for saying “Naruto“, if the latest manga sales figures are anything to go by.

The collected Oricon Top 50 figures for manga sales through the first half of 2009 (shown below) give a complete picture of what manga series are dominating Japan of late, with the usual blockbusters of Bleach, Naruto, and (of course) One Piece dominating much of the list.

To Love-Ru Gets Loli Nipple Tentacle Raep Addition

to-love-ru-loli-tentacle-raep-12.jpg

Volume 13 of oppai manga To Love-Ru has received a slew of erotic revisions, culminating in the long sought addition of loli nipples to an otherwise humdrum tentacle raep scene, which has predictably projected fans into (possibly literal) spasms of loli-induced ecstasy. The volume in question happens to be the one which is accompanied with the OVA in special edition format. More of the erotic OVA here.

The manga is compared to the original Shonen Jump serialisation below (the originals are followed by revised panels):
