Sekirei DVD Oppai Frenzy Finale

Sekirei’s famed oppai return in abundance in the last (and sixth) DVD instalment – it seems the last spurt of censorship was the usual marketing tactic, though at least mysterious foreground objects are entirely expunged. The DVD does however go so far as to feature a 10 minute OVA, which naturally manages to fit in a bathing scene…

The latest consumer good to receive an upgrade via the otaku fine art of ita-fication is modern Japan’s favorite foreign dish, curry. Toradora, ef: a tale of melodies, Musubi of Sekirei and even dear Nagisa-chan of Clannad have received their own ita-curry products, catered specifically for otaku culinary taste.

Eroge illustrator Aoi Nishimata (Shuffle!), the same artist whose moe ita-rice became a huge marketing coup for a small town last year, has also lent her talents to the creation of moe curry, illustrating the cover art for the farming region’s brand of beef curry with the above image of a moe kimono-clad woman.

Apparently, the growing reach of Akiba (and moe) knows few boundaries.

The third DVD of  at times visually less than inspiring anime Sekirei does not disappoint on the nipple and reduced censorship front, as expected, but anyone hoping for substantial additions, ala Kanokon, may wish to restrain their anticipation…

Fans hailing the uncensored DVD release of oppai anime Sekirei have had a rude awakening from their nipple induced ecstasy; any number of scenes are marred, it seems, by trivial animation errors, easily spotted by vigilant 2channers.

The most egregious error involves an airborne nipple seemingly dislodged by the vigorousness of the oppai motion, but many errors also arise from the transition to wide screen format.

Oppai anime Sekirei has concluded with an episode centred on an oppai battle, the objective of which is apparently to denude the opponent of clothes, an ending much in keeping with the spirit of the title. However, the somewhat schizophrenic censorship of the anime continues; as we saw with the nipple special, at times it can be quite risqué, but equally we have seen that it is subject to massacre.

Unfortunately, this episode almost falls into the “massacred” category, though it still has gigantic unclothed breasts a plenty.
