The imminent third season of troubled baka-yarou anime Minamike, Minamike Okaeri, has been unveiled in modest detail with the release of a brief trailer, allowing a fair comparison between the three seasons.
Minamike fans are seemingly split between those who consider the new series to represent a complete collapse in design quality, and those who think it compares well with Okawari. We need not consider the other possible opinion, vanishingly rare as it is.

Nondescript anime Hyakko has experienced a modicum of success, which means the inevitable knock off PS2 adventure game is due.
But this time, it is no ordinary knock off, for it seems their laziness in developing the game has reached unprecedented heights, even for typically wretched anime adventure games – as the above shots indicate, they have actually filched scenes from the anime rather than go to the trouble of reenvisaging them in CG.

It would appear work on the latest adaptation of one of the great Masamune Shirow’s works, set to be a TV anime entitled アップルシード ジェネシス / Appleseed Genesis, is in dire straits, with the prior target of a spring 2009 release seemingly up in smoke, and the prospect of complete project cancellation being apparent.

Minamike fans everywhere are in a state of grave despair with the news that the recently announced third season of Minamike is set to be a continuation of the oft reviled second series, Okawari, with the same producers, which was not previously clear.
However, it also seems that parts of the production will be going back to the original producers, so there may yet be hope for Okawari detractors.
