Obsessive Haruhi otaku engaged in a pilgrimage to a school location used in a music video accompanying the recent Haruhi movie, and featuring in the anime proper, have so plagued the school, apparently feeling they have the right to trespass freely in pursuit of good photography, that the school has had to post a warning advising them that trespassers will be prosecuted.

The predatory nature of otaku when confronted with their seiyuu prey has once again been brought to the fore by the shameless theft of Nagato seiyuu Chihara Minori’s water bottle, with the gleeful thief proceeding to publically quaff down her liquids and even brazenly post photos of himself doing so online, delighting many in the Malaysian otaku community.

The latest cover story of Voice Newtype (Newtype’s seiyuu-focused magazine) shows the collected seiyuu of Haruhi‘s SOS-Dan, much as it did in a previous 2006 cover.
Displaying the old (on the left) alongside the new makes for an interesting comparison, with the likely focus falling on how Tomokazu Sugita (Kyon) now appears ready to jump onboard a mecha in a leopard print plugsuit of sorts.

Eroge gamer Nagato Yuki can be seen singing the catchy Ga-rei Zero OP, Paradise Lost, in the new episode 6 of Haruhi-chan.
Fans with in-depth seiyuu knowledge will immediately get the joke – 茅原実里 / Minori Chihara voiced both Nagato and Ga-rei’s main character Kagura Tsuchimiya, as well as singing the show’s OP.

A young man (19) who threatened to stab a seiyuu, thought to be 茅原実里 / Minori Chihara (or みのりん / Minorin), who provides, amongst many others, the voices of Yuki Nagato and Minamike’s Chiaki, has been arrested.
