Tomia and her elite Korean cosplay band are once again proving Vocaloids, in this case Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Megurine Luka, Meiko and Gumi, can be ravishingly cute in both 2D and 3D.

The boy-band which brazenly plagiarised a Vocaloid tune only to be outed by angry fans and a distraught creator has finally admitted its shameful conduct and made amends with its victim.

The creator victimised by Johnny’s boy-band KAT-TUN, AVTechNO!, writes that a settlement was reached with the plagiarists:

Regarding the “DYE” incident, the producers of “NEVER x OVER” have admitted the influence of “DYE” on their song, and have taken appropriate action to settle the matter.

My sincere apologies for worrying any KAT-TUN fans with my words. KAT-TUN were not at fault – I wish them the best in future.

His vagueness and apologetic tone can probably be taken as an indication that he received cash or royalties in return for keeping his mouth shut so as to allow KAT-TUN to escape with their image and sales intact.

Christmas is coming – which must mean Santa-themed Korean Vocaloid cosplay, with Miku, Luka, Meiko and Rin all joining in the festivities.

A major Japanese boy band has been caught copying a hit Vocaloid song, enraging Miku’s legion of defenders.

The band in question is KAT-TUN, a generic boy band from the famous “Johnny’s” stable of generic boy bands. They stand accused of copying AVTechNO!’s song “DYE,” sung by Megurine Luka and published in one of Miku’s many hit albums.

In response to this brazen act of plagiarism, the emotionally frail creator of the song deleted all his works from Nico due to the “shock.” He confirms that he gave no permission for any such usage of his works.

Virtual idol Megurine Luka has received a Figmatised version replete with trademark tuna, portraying her charms quite effectively in a form readily accessible to both creepy doll fanciers and action figure aficionados alike.

Also coming with a microphone, Figma Luka is set for release in October 2010, by Max Factory.

Akimbo’s painstaking illustrations of Hatsune Miku‘s shimapan-clad nether regions are something few Vocaloid fans can do without.

Sadly, the level of exactitude Akimbo exerts over other areas of his illustration is not quite at the same level as his mikupan.

Tako Luka has been gaining popularity and spawning interesting art ever since she appeared unexpectedly in Nico MADs; she would appear to have attained similar status to Hachune Miku?

Some ninja related antics transpire in this latest MAD starring Megurine Luka and her Vocaloid comrades.

The song itself is a change of pace from Luka’s gentle, soothing voice and uses a more high-pitched tone while taking advantage of her English-speaking ability (in fact this is apparently its main intent).

The video is currently holding a steady position at number 19 on the NicoNico Daily Charts with over 30,000 views.

Vocaloid sensation 巡音ルカ / Megurine Luka has proven a phenomenal success, threatening to dislodge the Kagamine clan from the number two spot behind queen of virtual idols Hatsune Miku.

With her recent release, a torrent of fine music featuring her dulcet tones has flooded Nico, but since art exploring her character has been accumulating for a month already, a large quantity of outstanding artwork has been created by her many fans. Some of the most interesting works are presented in this gallery.

It seems that the consensus depiction of her has stabilised on a mature, erotic look, with a lot of attention given to her potential as a dominatrix. Few would complain.

Also, few familiar with both can help but notice the curious similarity between her and Tales of the Abyss heroine Tear Grants. We are left to wonder about this.
