A teacher has been arrested for kidnapping and then attempting to ransom a schoolgirl, his former pupil. Police discovered the girl, the worse for her ordeal, imprisoned and bound in his residence.

A class of third year elementary school girls had an unwelcome surprise when they returned from their swimming in the school pool, only to discover a thief had made off with their pants, with all 14 pairs unaccounted for, along with socks, shirts and other items of apparel. The changing rooms had apparently been left unlocked, and the door unattended. We do not hear whether the girls went nopan for the rest of the day.

A former porn star has been arrested for defrauding a doctor of some ¥26,000,000 through a dating club scam; washed up porn star (or at least, AV “actress”) 香野みか/Mika Kouno, at 36 now too old to be performing (except perhaps in certain niche roles), instead over the last few years teamed up with another ne’er-do-well to orchestrate a scheme of fraud and prostitution which would leave one particularly dense doctor ruing the day he joined their club.

“I wanted to see want my sister would do when I put the fake note in her room” – with this sentiment in mind, the 27 year old salaryman first copied a ¥10,000 note ($100) with a multifunction printer, then placed the fake note in her room. A few days later, his sister (22) made a ¥1,000 purchase of sandwiches and the like at the local convenience store, using the fake bill. The pair were soon arrested.
