Eyebrows have been raised at the steady rise in popularity several potentially Vocaloid inspired names have enjoyed in Japan’s baby naming; Ren (ranked 4th), Rin (7th), Kaito (13th) and most notably Miku (up to 24th from 50th last year).

We heard about the racing debut of a Hatsune Miku pro-itasha recently; now the news is followed up by the debut of another Vocaloid racer, which as you can see is a Kagamine Rin/Ren themed Fairlady.
Both cars are racing in the GT300 round 9 race at the Fuji Speedway, set to commence in mere hours.

Seeing the superb job done with reworking this Kagamine Rin/Ren classic, giving it a full visual workover, I couldn’t resist posting it. Definitely amongst my favourites, especially now with the interesting mix of rap, text and manga style visuals.
