This outstandingly animated Vocaloid all star production, entitled Honey – Nanameue All Stars, has been released to celebrate the birthday of the much overlooked Meiko, and features some rather beautiful 3D CG visuals, along with some fantastically choreographed (if this is the right word for rendered characters) dancing.
An anon was kind enough to introduce me to the superb 3D CG artist whose works we saw when looking at the state of 3D Haruhi games; going by the name of 北仙 / Hokusen, with his site/circle called “Feel Myself”, he possesses notable skill in rendering anime characters in 3D, and his works are well worth a look, both for their artistic merits, and as a sign of things to come.
You’ll also notice he has a singular predilection for creating interesting Haruhi images…

Melancholic fans compared the various upcoming 3D Haruhi games to the works of a mysterious 3D CG artist, whose identity seems unknown. As you can see, the games fair rather badly.
The Strike Witches get a rather convincing rendition using the powerful capabilities of 3D Custom Girl, which seems to handle their pantsu resembling field uniform without difficulty. Not surprising considering the versatility it offers.
Sanya, Yoshika and Francesca seem particularly well handled…

Production IG and Fuji TV are said to be laying down the gauntlet to Hollywood, with their just announced CG film collaboration, provisionally titled ホッタラケの島 / Hottarake no Shima, set to be a family friendly fantasy tale of a girl mixed up with a mysterious world. Most original.
It would appear work on the latest adaptation of one of the great Masamune Shirow’s works, set to be a TV anime entitled アップルシード ジェネシス / Appleseed Genesis, is in dire straits, with the prior target of a spring 2009 release seemingly up in smoke, and the prospect of complete project cancellation being apparent.
The upcoming Tales of Hearts, for the DS this winter, is set to have two different versions, one with cutscenes in the anime style the Tales series has traditionally used to great effect, and another in a Final Fantasy style CG style; all of this is very puzzling, but what is even more puzzling is how the two will look.
As you can see, the 3D version comes of looking like “a gang of cosplayers”, and there is little doubt which version will be selling, in Japan at least.
Here we are treated to 西連寺春菜 / Haruna Sairenji, of To Love-Ru, enjoying a spot of riding on a riding machine, and wearing sukumizu. She seems to be enjoying herself.
This is one of the quality A-rank riding videos, so it is obligatory viewing for riding machine aficionados.
Hatsune Miku juggles an interesting variety of objects in a most skilful manner in this fine MAD, starting with leeks. It is strangely charming, and has some nice touches.
