Ah, OK. I only read volumes 1 & 2 since that's all I've been able to get from my library.

Also, anyone else notice that in some harems, it tends to be the guy who DOESN'T want a bunch of hot girls his own age after him, yet the other guys in the anime are super jealous?

for instance in the case of 1 u'll use myself normally i'm rather weak with no aptitude fir fighting and to be frank i am a borderline pacifist yet when myself or those aeiund me are percieved to be being trhreayened i tend too lose it and become a berserker so yeah it is possible just rare.

as for 2 i've heard ofcases vwheresuch thingshave happened where a person was in danger and someones instincts kicked in.

1.) My main focus was "Main female is super strong, main male is not & has to rely on said female to do just about all the fighting/courageous stuff, save for the moment where he proves his love/kindness/etc. to her". Let's take….Rosario + Vampire. From what I've read (1st 2 volumes. I'm sure someone will prove this example wrong, but by all means, go ahead), the main dude (Tsukune) does NOTHING except make the main female (Moka) have her turn into a vampire. & he does this by yanking her necklace off her. I'm not saying it's bad that females are strong (that's actually awesome), but for some reason, it just seems that some of the main men characters are getting weaker. I don't know. I seem to notice it in Shounen-related stuff.

2.) I won't deny that could happen, but it just seems odd how someone is just like "aahhh, I can't swim to save my life OMG GIANT WAVE/SHARK/OCTOPUS/ETC. HAS MY FRIEND! +1,000 SWIMMING SKILLS GAINED!" in such a short period of time. That, or someone just can't swim & someone else tries to teach them. School Days, Azumanga Daioh, Mightiest Disciple Kenichi, Umisho, Yomeiro Choice, anyone who ate Gum-Gum Fruit in One Piece, Sonic The Hedgehog (bit of a cheat, but he DID have his own OVA/movie made in Japan), etc.

I'm not saying they're impossible, but it just seems to bug me (mostly the 2nd one) how I tend to see this sometimes.

To each their own opinion.

1.) I'm a normal high school guy w/ little to no redeeming qualities &/or possibly no friends. I sure hope no females (or strange person/thing) that're going to do all the fighting showing how weak I am until a moment comes where I gotta save him/her so we can somehow fall in love (or have our friendship grow) even more affects my life anytime sooOH MY GOD WHO IS THAT!?!

2.) Let's all go to the pool/beach! UH OH! One of the main or supporting characters can't swim! Hold on, let's make something happen where one of the main/supporting character's friend gets into trouble & they have to save them, thus learning how to swim instantly! SWIM LESSONS? WHAT ARE THOSE!?
