It depends, I find that most people using the word loli are either talking about porn or some kind of fap material ( AKA looking at cute girls that aren’t doing anything sexual )

So a painting of a naked kid is not porn if is not meant to make people fap over it. But if a person tells me about a loli painting, it still may not be porn, but I know that that person is into little girs one way or another. I agree with OP. Its really hard to see girls in anime with differente body shapes, and when they do they are usually A) A old woman B) A fat girl that its meant to look ugly and that’s the reason of her being fat as a character or C) Some weird monster like that One Piece pic that renstalon posted.

I mean, I just can’t think of a fat young girl in anime that was portrayed as a normal girl despite being fat. . . Most of them are just jokes!

I don’t see why you have to leave behind the things you love. I mean I can understand that at certain age a person would feel the necessity to change, that has happened to me too.

But hell! I would never stop watching cartoons, readings comics, manga, do cosplay every once in a while, buy comic/manga figures, drawing my own comics ( Well… that’s another entire differente subject ) But I would hate that people would think that thats the only thing that I am… the geeky guy that reads comics/mangas.

To me, its not about leaving the stuff that you like behind, its about changing a little bit… maybe not wearing t-shirts with ´´lolis“ drawings in them, don’t make your house look like a toy store, specially not calling a character your girlfriend ( a thing that I still don’t get. . .)

Just saying, if you care a little bit about people knowing that you like anime, or that you may look like a creepy 40 year old guy watching a magical girl anime… well you don’t have to stop, but maybe it would be better if you don’t look like everything that you are is defined with the word anime, there are other things in the world.

At least thats my opinion on the subject.
