So I'm assuming the game is 3 dimensional because you can rotate the camera. Does that mean that the characters can also move in any direction. Also,I don't really see how it can resemble a top-down shooter in this situation. Can you elaborate?

Well, since I only have the debug mode done (everything is rendered as a simple shape showing the collision detection circles and rectangles), I can just give you a better explanation and example.

Your character can only move along a 2d axis. Moving the mouse just changes the direction you are facing (which is what your camera is locked to). It would be similar to how this camera system works (I may give you a slight angle, like in diablo):

though my controls are going to be a lot smoother and tighter.

So, in a boss situation, you are going to be dodging attacks on a 2d axis, hence the 2d shooter, but with the freedom of aiming from any direction and a full 360 degree directional movement. In the levels, you are free to progress at your own pace, but you will be forced to make quick decisions as you enter rooms with lots of enemies who will need to be taken down quickly and with the proper tactical approach (well, more veteran players will probably be able to get by with expert dodging and well utilized abilities). You get hit and you bleed, get hit again while bleeding and you die. Last enough seconds, and you will recover. So you basically have two shots and you die, but the mechanic will give you a bit of safety in-case you get grazed.

Not sure if I am going to do the game in 3d or just a stylized 2d that gives it a more 3d appearance. The game will definitely be character based with an ongoing story. How long that story will last depends on whether people like the game or not. If you are interested in hearing the plot at all or want to know how I am doing it, let me know. Otherwise, hope that answers your questions.

Inb4 someone says Runescape.

I am working on a browser game at the moment using HTML 5 and Javascript so it runs natively in the browser.

Its kinda a weird hybrid of a top-down shooter, moba, dungeon crawler (D3?), and bullet hell shooter set in a steam-punk fantasy setting (and will have a bit of an anime style to it). Each character has 5 abilities and a basic attack and is always facing upward, rotating the camera by moving the mouse changes their facing direction. Abilities are used by hitting q, e, r, rmouse, and f for finale. Double tapping the arrow keys does a quick dash in that direction, holding down shit while doing it lets you tumble.

One thing I am learning is that game programming is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. So much math.

• Ah Gantz, you are my hero. XD

Though TBH, that chick is kinda ugly.

True story though, was gonna make a post about it because that GTR wasn’t making the point clear, but glad to see you took care of that for me.

It gets worse. The entire forum is dedicated to disproving "secular science". There are so many fallacies, errors in thinking, etc. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin…

Also, according to the following image, condoms (which were invented by the devil) actually cause HIV!!! Seriously!!! LOOK AT THE GRAPH!!!

Honestly, you guys disappoint me. Someone is willing to give their life, and go against their own families opinion for a decision they believe in. Regardless of how you feel about service and war in general, you guys should respect his resolve.

Personally, sounds like a good nickname, though from what I know, you earn nicknames not decide them yourself. Good luck with your training and good job having the courage to make the decision yourself and not letting yourself be influenced by others.

Personally, I think what you are doing is admirable.

So basically when Vicious has nowhere to go in an argument, he/she resorts to trolling. Heh. XD

O well. Tbh, I could care less whether someone thinks the nukes were justified or not. To get back on topic, I think its funny that the US is resorting to using a manga to create propaganda for the situation.

You dont support it, but in your opinion it worked, therefore it is justified. interesting.

Yes, i am under the impression that when you declare war on people. you usually send your troops at them. thats generally how it works.

Would i force the death of countless….Yes. if i declare war i usually expect to deploy armies At. and armies usually consist of people, humans, in mortal peril.

"And let us not forget the civilian casualties that would have surely gotten in the way"
Well obviously to protect your citizens from our armies, logically i had to nuke your most populous cities. we did it for you japan, obviously.

hmm i see your allies systematic mass extermination and raise you Instant mass extermination.

Justified. yee haw.

So in other words, you can't actually come up with a valid analytical response, so you decided to bullshit a worthless post that didn't actually state anything of importance. Bravo to you sir. Shame too, I thought you were someone who could actually carry out a good argument. :'(

At least make an attempt to tell us what you would have done over a nuke since it is clearly the worst type of sin. War isn't a good thing in general, but if you can't at least come up with a probable solution then you can't just condemn the method that was being used. Somebody was going to die, the question was how.

Or give up and face reality. You pick.

so did Glen Beck rape and murder a girl in the 1990? Just asking a question.

Could he have? Yes.

Is it likely he did? No.

It was an internet rumor that was started up by a specific website. It was completely baseless. The whole deal sprung up because Glenn Beck never made an effort to deny these allegations. Its just stupid rumors that people start up on anyone whose ideas they don't like. Like people who continue to say Obama isn't a citizen, ect.

I can pretty much guarantee you he never raped a girl in 1990.

Oh The Lulz, and i'm gonna have to regulate.

Are you justifying mass extermination as a quick solution?
really? do i have to say anymore?

Nobody actually came out and said that we support a weapon that targets civilians. I merely stated that the United States had justification and provided fair warning to Japan. Though truth be told, the war would have gone on a hell of a lot longer had the United States actually had to invade Japan. Japan wouldn't have surrendered until US forces had literally pushed to the door step of Hirohito…and even then, they still may have gone on fighting.

Though, since you are so strongly against the deployment of such a tactic, what would have been your solution to the war? Would you have ordered America troops on to Japanese soil? Would you have forced the death of countless more young men on both sides as the countries settled into an eventual stalemate or US victory years later? And let us not forget the civilian casualties that would have surely gotten in the way as US troops attacked the cities. You think you can invade a country without innocent citizens dieing? Plenty French, German, Italian, Russian, ect. civilians died as troops moved from territory to territory. And lets not forget this, remember Okinawa in which hundreds of Japanese, men, women, and children all committed suicide rather than surrender to American forces? I guarantee you that Japanese civilians would have armed themselves just to fight American soldiers resulting in even more civilian casualties.

And speaking of mass extermination; this was the same war in which the holocaust happened. And later, the reign of Stalin in which millions of people were systematically annihilated. What do we call that? Even bigger mass extermination?

Also note, I may or may not be playing the devils advocate. That is for you to decide.

retarded butthurt american detected.

To be fair, Japan did attack the United States first. Also, the United States gave Japan fair warning to surrender before the bombs were dropped. They didn’t surrender until after the second bomb was used against them several days after the first. Japan’s leader was even quoted saying something along the lines of how it would be beautiful if all of Japan should die like a flower rather than surrender (it’s been awhile and I can’t remember the quote). Point is, the US wasn’t this heartless nation that decided we wanted to nuke Japan, it was a long drawn out conflict and we had already lost plenty of men in Germany. Rather than continuing to fight a nation that would literally defend its homeland to the death, we used a controversial tactic that was capable of ending the war quickly. Even if you feel that such an indiscriminate weapon should never be used, understand that Japan was given fair warning and the US had legitimate reason for pulling such a move (honestly, we didn’t even start the war this time!).

Still, the whole waifu thing is stupid imo.
