Depends what level you are at,
they do give big drops within the dlc maps but they take a great deal of time to finish in comparison to the skirmishes. It’s a case of whether you want faster victories and instant gratification over longer battles with occasional big items.

They’re single use but you can buy multiples of them
and it’s not that hard to get money for them since there’s usually an enemy who carries bullion or a high-class weapon in skirmishes.

About the Second Seals. Re-classing helps since you get access to other abilities and the re-leveling adds on more stats but I haven't tried it since I don't have access to the DLC maps to level grind.
