true but actually enforcing borders would also make that risk less profitable. besides we have people in big US cities surrounded by employers dealing as well. Although i think you are correct in that the failure to treat addiction and just tossing them into jail is not solving it.

im not so sure. Assad and the rebels both want to retake Golan. Rebels have said as much. Assad is actually allowing Syrian Palesinians to prepare for that battle, but lets be honest that battle
would be over in an hour and would be pretty one sided.
I suspect Israel will watch this and try to stay out unless direct enemies get involved like when they bombed that hezbollah convoy. Assad nor the rebels can retaliate really they are to busy with each other.

mexico has had more help to modernize than any other country. from nafta to foriegn aid to the fact more than ten percent of its gdp comes from people in the US sending money home to family.

Any other state given this kind of aid would be first world but corruption and idiotic politicians more interested in making the people feel good rather than fix problems has stagnated them.

Rebels have al qaeda, foriegn mercanaries, and a few key cities.Assad has hezbollah, iran, and russian tech.

both would be horrible to win, but i suspect the rebels might be slightly worse. Any idea what happens after the war? Im suspecting ethnic cleansing of the losers. Just throwing that out there.
