So I’m on Job Seekers Allowance ’cause I’m unemployed, but need monies. Now he government has the new scheme for Job Seekers where they send them to do courses that they believe will make them more employable, I was sent for an initial interview at one of these places today.

The thing is, these courses are seemingly more directed toward people who have bad grades from school. I don’t know whether they really do send all Job Seekers on this thing or not, but when I spoke to the guy who worked there he said my situation was “unique” in that I actually have pretty decent grades from school.

The thing is, these courses are entry level and the guy who worked there said they’d be somewhat useless to me, but because its a government scheme and the job centre sent me here I [i]have[/i] to do one. In the end picked an admin/accountancy course, ’cause it seemed the most useful, but I dunno. Its a two week thing, so at least it’ll get me out the house.

So I went to my apprenticeship agency interview today. Its wasn’t that bad since it wasn’t like a job interview. They say they’ll contact me about it soon.
I kinda got semi-forced into doing a two week course on Microsoft Office which will give me some sort of qualification at the end. The bright side is it’ll look good on my CV and I won’t spend all my time sleeping and sitting on my ass doing nothing. They’ll pay for my travel and the course, so can’t complain.

Has anyone else noticed that the YDT has become almost constant talk about raping other SanCom members? I blame Kudi.

Fuck, now I have an interview on Thursday as well. I get no interviews ever and then get two in one week. What is this craziness. Stressing!

Got a phone call asking to me to come to an interview at an apprenticeship agency for an interview tomorrow. That’d be fine, but its in a part of the city that requires me to get two buses to get to, plus I’ve never been there and its known for being a dodgy part of town. Fun.
