$140 for a plushie? There are identical knockoffs in chinatown for $1.40. With that price they’re charging, you won’t feel guilty buying knockoffs…

My dad fought in Korea against them, so unfortunately he had different opinions on the Chinese military… As for goods, people pick price over quality. Everyone is guilty of it. You’re probably typing on Chinese made keyboard, looking at a Chinese made monitor fed by graphics card from Chinese factory floor. In any case, “Maid [...]

Hong Kong metro is dirtier than Beijing subway though. I rode both recently.

I lived in Taipei for almost two years. Trust me, it’s just heavy makeup culture. They’re no different than girls in southern China, except heavy makeups, especially around the eyes. It’s more obvious when seen first person than in photos. That, and long bangs, hairstyle common in early 20th century China, but went out of [...]

It could be just 3 tick boxes combined, and someone forgot to circle the right one? I’ve seen it on English cases.

#9 should be turned 90 degrees back to original. It would better emphasize “the bend.” Lulz #10 is 2 train heads connected. Working as intended and same as elsewhere. Are the first batch of pics from the bullet train shown in #10. I took one recently while in China on business (recently, as in before [...]

Neither nation nor race. And yes, I’m American, although I lived in Beijing briefly more than a decade ago, among other places, and have multiple nationalities at this point (Chinese not among them, they don’t allow holding multiple citizenships). “American” can hardly be considered a race. I wouldn’t be surprised if I have Chinese blood [...]

This is hardly newsworthy. Much of it happens all the time in large cities I’ve stayed in – NYC, Boston, London, Sydney. Changing in trains and buses are common sight during summer months in lines that pass public beaches. It’s fine as long as swimming suit is underneath. People sit crosslegged, bring babies on trains, [...]

Apparently, Hitler’s incestuous pre-ejaculating ass got eliminated from the gene pool. And yes, it’s a fact, his niece testified to it.

The idea that Japan somehow freed Asia from colonialism, and did them a favor by invading, is BS. Learn your history. Philippines freed itself from America in a bloody independence war half a century before ww2. Japan invaded an independent country. China had already freed itself from fractured European proxy-colonialism decades before WW2 in nationalist [...]

The projected loss of lives of an American invasion of Japanese mainland would be on the upside of 40 times as much as victims of the nuclear bombs, majority Japanese. That’s not including the war of attrition that would be prolonged in China. The dropping of the bombs were neither acts of aggression nor revenge, [...]

It’s purchased from Ukraine, not Russia, same as all associated technology and su-33 bps. Russia’s sore only because Ukraine took their business. And yes, all those sales are perfectly legal. In addition, Ukraine explicitly sold the right to reproduce all hardware. It’s a sensible move, after the old stockpile depleted, since they can’t produce any [...]

Majority of US navy carriers run on diesel, and even the nuclear ones are built in the 60s-70s. They’re much older than that chinese carrier. The hulls are still good, you just have to keep the electronics updated.

He’s senile alright. This will never happen. Japan is banned from having nuclear weapons via post ww2 treaty, under explicit conditions. If they develop nuclear weapons, any nation would be immediately free to legally launch first strike, without fear of interference or retaliation from 3rd party. Not sure about china, but north korea would certainly [...]
