“Although made in Japan, the adaptation is actually produced by none other than Warner Brothers Japan, and so may actually qualify as another Hollywood anime rape of sorts.” No. Warner Brothers is not producing, they are distributing. Warner Brothers also distributed Goemon. Is that considered a Hollywood movie? Justin Timberlake is under Sony Music. Is [...]

Can’t I like both? So-stupid-its-funny is a valid concept, and this show seems to have a good handle on it. The awesome anime with story aren’t rare because of all the panty shots in the way, they’re rare because they’re hard to make. Taking away shows like this doesn’t mean more awesome shows. It just [...]

I have an Atari 2600 that still works. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending Microsoft, here. I’m on my third 360 myself, so screw those guys. I just wanted to point out the false logic. The BBC should know better.

No, this is what happens when you cut corners to make a device as cheap as possible because you lose money when you sell it. This explains the 360/PS3. I’ve never heard of an unhacked Wii bricking. I’m sure it happens now and then, so don’t bother linking stories as ‘proof’, but it’s certainly not [...]

This is complete and utter nonsese. There was a rumor that the new dash caused RRoD. There was a rumor that MW2 caused RRoD, and now there’s a rumor that Kinect causes RRoDs. Notice something in common with those three things? They were new, they were popular, and they got people to turn on 360s [...]

It’s because you’ve been lucky, plain and simple. The 360 has a defective design. They are all prone to this, and there is little to nothing you can do to stop it. When your console dies, it dies.

No, Atlus encouraged this. They were deliberately ambiguous about the game, announced it was by some of the biggest names in modern RPGs, and showed a half hour of cinematics. What did they want people to think? Exactly what the parent post expected, that’s what. Will the game be good? Maybe. Atlus Japan has a [...]

Graphic adventures, like Sierra games, aren’t even remotely like visual novels. Graphic adventures are full-fledged games with inventory and puzzles. Posting that list is like comparing Quake to Gran Turismo.

I don’t hear the plagiarism here. Yes, they sound a lot alike, yes you can play one on top of the other, but is this really a case of one copying the other or is it just one formulaic pop song sounding like another formulaic pop song?

  • Perseid commented on the post Sony Sues PS3 Hackers – “All Orders Have Been Cancelled”   1 year, 9 months ago · View

This isn’t the same thing. The software you need on the PS3 side to make this work is compiled with a leaked Sony SDK, making it illegal pretty much worldwide regardless of the legality of modchips.
