First thing you need to do is enable the hitbox patch and the new texture patch. Secondly pick Reimu as your character since she's obviously the best. Play on Normal first, never on Easy.

Stages 1 & 2 are a joke. You can probably do them, no miss no bomb, with your monitor turned off. Stage 3 is where it gets tricky.

Download and watch a few replays from here http://replays.gensokyo.org/
to get a general idea on how to dodge the stuff you can't handle yourself.
Also download TH 12.3, 12.5 & 12.8 since they're probably not included in the torrent.

Try not to use too much bombs, since that way you'll never learn anything if you'll just keep spamming bombs whenever something harder to dodge appears. Also playing TH 9.5 & 12.5 is a good way to train your danmaku evading skills.

Need to enable hitbox patch? No he doesn’t. It’s nice to have for a newbie but I’d suggest you get rid of it after a few tries seeing that you’ll remember where the hitbox is.

Stage 1 it’s easy to perfect. When you get to stage 2, bomb after 5 seconds so you can collect all of the items, get an extend and full power. Stage 3 is so easy if you know how to graze. Stage 4 looks tricky, but all you have to do is memorize what fires what.

Don’t forget: Hitboxes of bullets are smaller than they appear (for many bullets)

I never said I have a feeling I’m going to lose. I never have that feeling. Please don’t put words in my mouth or assume anything. I’m just saying, it may seem interesting to others, but I personally find myself being bored with it. Don’t change the structure, keep doing what you’re doing if everybody else is entertained by it. I don’t intend on moving on, namely because I would’ve forgotten about it. If it weren’t for Uncommon, you guys would’ve been left waiting.

I honestly lost interest. I was browsing through pictures, got sidetracked way too many times, ended up almost forgetting it, then found myself bored doing this.

I mean, I can enter something, but still give Satoko the win.

Tournaments always give me a feeling of excitement but I don’t feel any thrill in this anymore =/

The cosplayers at cons like anime central etc are pretty diverse. You get stuff from touhou to Lupin the III. I have seen yatter-man cosplay and even cosplay from shows like blue gender. I would not know about cons else where but here you get a lot of diversity cosplay wise.
