“What is dis 3G it’s not a phone, me mad.” Yes it’s not a phone. Like the ipad isn’t a phone and all the other tablet 3G devices are not phones. Kindles are not phones either but I don’t see anyone complaining about the 3G model there. What’s with the $20-100 figure? It’s a gaming [...]

“specially modified batteries (the batteries contain additional circuitry as well as the actual battery)” Well actually no they are standard Sony batteries. You could physically modify one to turn it into a jigkick battery if you didn’t have a PSP already running a custom firmware. If you had a custom firmware PSP available you could [...]

I think you should be ashamed for believing anything of what you wrote there.

He didn’t try to blackmail anybody. What Geohot wrote on his site wasn’t threatening or promising anything. He was merely joking that working for Sony he could help to make their next console secure. Artefact really dude. Tone the bias done and join us back in the land of REALITY. Geohot has done nothing wrong. [...]

“They can do whatever they like with your console. They control everything it does, and supposedly you agreed to this when you bought it.” Sony doesn’t control jack and legally they can’t do anything to my property either. They can remove access to PSN but that’s it. That is of course ignoring the fact my [...]

    Holy fail article.

Sony cannot remotely brick consoles. Even if the feature existed they couldn’t use it because they don’t own the hardware after it’s been purchased.

You can’t be serious. How many mums do you think even know what a virus is? I’m not sure why you think anyone is “worked up” over anything. Maybe those viruses magically found their way onto peoples machines. I don’t think risk plays any part in someone desire to get something for free. Feel free [...]

“even a modicum of risk or difficulty is enough to deter a significant portion of pirates” To think you’d almost have a good article if you didn’t inject nonsense like this. You’ve no basis for such statements so just stick to the facts. The most simple of firewalls would have blocked the thing sending anything [...]

Sure I’m feeding into your sick desire for a response but I’m bored.

Are you saying the USB drive I paid $10 for that lets me run any disc I want is expensive? Yeah the PS2 is really easy to “hack”.

  • Kyorisu commented on the post PS3 Update Crushes Pirate Dreams   1 year, 8 months ago · View

“As it is a mandatory update, PS3 users will be forced to update if they wish to access the PlayStation Network at all”

No there is a work around. You do not need to update to continue using online features such as PSN.

“yep. thats why we have consoles ^_^” Because you’re too stupid to build your own. Yep. Or in the worst case scenarios the cheapest joints around my place (think wholesale price chinese) will put whatever you buy together for $70. You can build a respectable machine for under $500 or a beast for under $1000 [...]

“I was just thinking the same thing, haha. Surveys like these always annoy me. Anyone who thinks they can get even remotely accurate results on a population as large as Japan’s from just 1,000 people is a class A retard.” Anyone who thinks you can’t get accurate statistics with 1000 people and proper methods is [...]

“it seems self-evident that the only reason his fans care about his antics is the opportunity for piracy it offers them.” Oh yes it’s always piracy and not users wanting more control of devices they own. I’ve rooted every smart phone I own can you guess why? I’ll give two examples 1. Remove bloatware that [...]
