It’s not the quality of Nintendo games you should be concerned about. Ever since the N64, Nintendo has played third string because they had to rely on their first party staples. The casual market may have given them a boost, but at the cost of shit games saturating the Wii.

One of the reasons Sega left the console wars was the lack of third party support. And just as Akherousin said, much of the casual market has shifted to smartphone/tablets.
