That is an absolutely beautiful view on life and death; that made my day, good sir. I share your views, and am now giving you a big hug whether you want one or not.
Just so you know, it was your use of the word “physical” that gave me the wrong impression. Sorry about that.

I don't care if I die right now, the life and death are part of our physical existence. So…head in a jar, then? Come on, we all know the soul is a myth. Nice myth, don’t get me wrong, but nonetheless…
As for me, I want to live till I die, no more no less. Bonus points if you know the reference. Seriously, though, I think I’ll die before 40, but not sure how long before. Doubtlessly, it’ll be because I’ve done something stupid like not look both ways. It’ll be my own damn fault, but I feel like I’ll end up being one of those accident statistics.

Thanks for the explanation.
So it’s different from the german grammar.Actually, the comma directly before the “and” in a sequence of three or more (called an oxford comma) is optional. It tends to be the norm in Am Eng, but is only infrequently used in Br Eng. In general, though, English comma usage is not terribly different than German.

I broke up with my last BF ‘cuz he fell in love with me.I confused. Could you clarify what the nature of your relationship was? I can understand how falling in love would spoil a fuck-buddy relationship. And, personally, a standard (non gf) friendship was spoilt bc I fell in love with her. But, if you’re properly gf and bf, then why is that such a problem?

No children. At times, it seems like it would be lovely if I were to adopt, but I keep coming to the conclusion that it just wouldn’t be worthwhile for me or for them. “Carrying on” anything isn’t important to me, but I wouldn’t like to grow old alone.
So, I would hope to go the “life partner” route, if I find someone suitable. Firstly, it is better to keep a relationship open, lest one smothers the other. Also, it avoids the messy divorce proceedings. Btw, I didn’t know about the Canadian cohabitation-into-marriage law. I sympathise with you Canadians who are wary of splitting assets, losing custody, etc.

I Actually Listen to Vocaloid Songs: 1 year, 7 months ago · ViewBeing Canadian does not necessarily prevent you from downloading songs, but if you can’t read japanese, it’s a bit difficult to download the songs. But, ripping the songs from youtube usually works. I would recommend this method.
Yea.. i could try going on youtube.. But other than youtube.. do you know any program or software that would actually have Japanese songs to download? English program (I cant read or type Japanese.. only french and english…)
I like the songs i have right now.. but i would just like to have more and new ones..
Thank you :)

Granted, but Linus Torvalds just learned telepathy, and everyone follows his orders to use linux from tomorrow on. You no longer have customers and your part-time job ends with a £0 profit.

Granted. You ride him through the sky, but since he can’t feel, and probably can’t see where he’s going, he keeps going higher and higher until you’re in space and, since he’s invincible, only you die horribly from asphyxiation.
I wish for the ability to stop time so I can more easily rape lolis.

I agree, gigavolt. How can you get emotional over real people?
I cried multiple times through the series, but none moreso than the last few seconds of the last episode. IIRC, it was after the brilliant final ep.

@ Darkrockslizer, Correct, the fact that their fears are “far from groundless” is because 38% of the British public believe that it’s common, and consequently are very likely to freak the fuck out at some man coming into any sort of contact, no matter how innocent, with their children. The media influence isn’t the same [...]

HG was a great comedian. Unfortunately, his days on TV are likely over. He got married and had a kid a couple of years ago. He said he wants to come back, but I don’t know how that’ll work out. Well, there’s always the youtube videos of his Bakuten reports.

The tourist Visa only allow you to stay up to 90 days, then you need to go out of Japan and re-enter if you want. But if you repeat doing so, they might assume that you are working without a work visa and trying to cheat the system, and deny you re-entry.
If I went to Japan for periods of 90 days with a tourist Visa, then I wouldn’t exactly be *living* there. In my scenario, I’d have a work Visa, which is good for three years.

I would not say no to living in Japan. However, the question is of citizenship. And, to this I say, why? What’s the point of Japanese citizenship? As far as I know, the only real benefit of this is the right to vote, which isn’t a huge loss for me.
Living in Japan is nice, but it doesn’t require citizenship. Therefore, I, too would decline the sped-up naturalization process.

Art is not only an imitation of reality. It could be also a harmony of forms, expression of emotion, or if a certain party like a museum deemed something as art even though it's just a painting of a Cambell's Soup can.
So having a criteria that only tackles how it imitates reality is wrong in the context that anime or cartoons in general is a "bastardization" of the human form, meaning it is already known for years that it is only a distortion of the truth.
…
I agree that they need to give more uniqueness for each character but it can also be deemed as "art", it gives you uniformity, lol.
i found it quite humorous that your philosophically analytical post ultimately ended with the quite possibly banal “lol”. As a result, I loled.
Yakimaki said:
That also being said, if a writer sees that one form of show as popular and purely writes it so that he copies the ideas for profit, then it isn't art which basically turns down a good majority of anime as being art.
If I understand what you’re saying, and I’m not sure that I do, taking advantage of the popularity of the media form in such a way would only apply to series which were not first manga. Also, I believe you are somewhat opposing the idea of “the medium is the message” by implying that the story of an anime elicits an equal effect and conveys an equal message in the form of a play, a novel, or whatever else. I’m not saying there are always worlds of difference, as the story is the central artistic aspect, but it is different.
