I’m also fascinated by the traditional culture and the history is fascinating. Samurai/bushido and all of that is interesting just to name an example. Shintoism/mythology is interesting. The temples and old buildings, and there’s a lot of beautiful natural places. The food is nice.
And I could make a much bigger list of stuff I like from both modern and traditional culture but I’m not feeling like writing such a list now.
