In answer to the OP's question, I'd say if it was a quick death and I was desperate for cash, then yes. As I am now, I don't need money so I wouldn't do it, and I wouldn't torture an animal even if I needed the cash.

Also, your argument that reptiles do not give two shits about other reptiles; birds don't give a shit about birds; amphibians don't give two shits about other amphibians- is nonfactual. Especially birds, who it can be argued are even more social than most mammals.
