All I had to do was adjust the paper type and it got rid of the grain. The export quality isn’t as good as the original though.

I love my wacom bamboo. Drawing is more fun.

I liked Agumon in Digimon the Movie where his neck was long. I’m trying to imagine Digimon with real world elements (note the webbed fingers). If I could add details I’d add some light scale effects.

Urgh I hate that… Luckily my teacher has a graphics tablet which takes a while getting used to. I’m still no Adi Granov.

My art teacher is always like “Just take a picture and upload it” while I’m thinking “Erm well the quality won’t be as good as opposed to an actual scan so editing in Photoshop will be a pain”.

I realised that my growing disliking for drawing generally was coming from drawing my own characters – few, and drawing them over and over again was draining me.

So what do I do? Devolve into a kid and draw pre-existing characters in my own style since I'm an amateur character designer.

My scanner is broken so a photo will have to do.

When drawing do you guys just draw out the shape of the body then add the clothes or do you just draw the character as it would appear as a final piece? As in draw clothes when there are clothes and draw the bare limbs when it’s there.

Do you guys colour in a lot? I personally prefer black and white imagery.

Oh I know that photoshop won’t improve my art; I just wanted to practice my digital skills a bit. You’re right about the 3/4 view stuff – I draw like that merely for creating concepts for characters.

That’s true. But at the same time I want to do something with my work. I like acting as a character designer so most of my work has the character at a 3/4 view which is a bit dull I do want create something dynamic but I’m figuring how I can do this in a way I like.

Does anyone remember the cover for Kingdom hearts: Birth by Sleep? I like that compilation/montage style.

So I go into my local computer store and look for Photoshop. Lo and behold – £429.99. I saw this coming though.

I said I want to take may art a bit more seriously but does anyone get the feeling “what’s the point of drawing all these pictures if nothing happens with them? Because I can draw everyday but they just sit in my draw. My scanner is busted too so I can’t scan and improve.
