Reading 'I'ts not my fault I'm not popular!' or 'Watashi ga motenai no wa dou kangaete mo omaera ga warui!' (who on earth comes up with these names) and by 'reading' I mean 'already read everything so far' as befits my reading habits when I find that I like something. Just earlier today I saw an article on Kotaku about it and thought; That sounds just the type I like, which turned out to be quite spot on.
It's about a perverted, pseudo-hikkikomori fujoshi who desperately tries to make friends, (or at least to be able to talk normally to store clerks) following the lately popular otaku-versus-society genre. It's very similar to 'NHK ni yokoso' although obviously not at the same level art/story wise.
What's exeptional is that there's not many mangas out there that make an attempt to cast an unappealing female protagonist and manage to do it so perfectly. She’s just about as miserable and pitiable as you can get in every way, yet tries so hard that it's really cute at best or at least incredibly hilarious.
I heartily recommend this to everybody who liked NHK, Oreimo or similar.
