I installed Windows 8 on my laptop 2 days back.

I'm not sure though if DearTraveler means the red background, or 'the whole picture'. You can change the background with a few presets and colors. But that's about it. (A downside really, I hope they add support for your own backgrounds). This is the Modern environment I'm talking about. Not the Desktop. – You can however change the lock screen background. But it's pretty useless IMO.

My bad, The red background led me to believe it was an entirely different image than the ones mine came with, leading me to believe that they could be downloaded. I’m not really a fan of any of the ones they came with but the one your using is the best. Also how do you do snips in the metro screen?
