Yeah, but that doesn' mean it's okay. If people have beef about the articles they should talk about them and not just be content with what they get. Even if it's Arte's site WE are the readers and I can't think of a case where the users giving feedback/critisism has been a bad thing.

As I said, I'm not raging because US got the shit this time, but because that article (and many others, not just those bashing X for Y) was hardly relevant to anything SanCon is about. I could have picked another similar (non-USA) article, but decided to go with the most recent.
Reporting on US/China/another foreign country doing X with/to Japan is relevant (like the thorny China/Japan issues or US coming to "help" Japan). Picking a completely irrelevant poll some religious folk made and affiliating it with the recent "quake is divine retribution" shit is not.

It's that this site is seeming to become:
"Irrelevant to Japan/anime/hentai/etc. stuff happens in X place. Watch as SanCon conjoins these completely irrelevant events to Japan/otaku culture!"

I'm not trying to tell Arte how to run this site. I'm giving critizism about the quality of the news. Why do you think I'm even posting this? Because I love SanCon and don't want it to sink into the sea of shitdom. Some may disagree with my opinions, but "lol butthurt OP, we love Arte" is hardly a good argument. Point of this thread is to have discussion.

FYI I'm neither American nor Chinese and I don't care what people here think about either and I don't rage when people make fun of my home country (Finland). Releasing articles wholly based on Artefact pissing on foreigners is not good.

My point is that, as I quoted in the first post, people come here to read about the latest trends, anime, see the picture galleries, participate in the forum, fap etc. Not to read articles about how the X group/country/person suck, because they did/said Y.

From what I’ve gathered it won’t just affect kids buying ero manga. If producing a series targeted towards a large demographic becomes not profitable (or in this case developers are forbidden from marketing it to minors) you could see many shows cancelled, particularly popular ones, which have viewers both young and old.
