Just "finished" FF13-2. I actually just gave up at Caius and watched the ending on Youtube since I felt like that battle represented everything I dislike about what the FF series is/has become: grind over skill, and flash over gameplay. Or maybe I'm just terrible and/or I just got tired of the game at that point.
Shame though, because the rest of the game was pretty decent even if some of the other mechanics were also annoying and overused (who the fuck thought clock puzzles would be fun?), and I really liked Serah as a character. I only spent 20 USD on it though, so not a bad deal. For reference, I stopped playing FF13 less than ten hours in.
I don't expect much out of Square Enix these days but Lightning Returns sounds like it could have some interesting combat mechanics. Sounds like they're taking cues from modern action games and maybe even their past Parasite Eve and Vagrant Story games, any of which would be a really refreshing change of pace.
Thinking about importing Demon Gaze for the Vita, but not sure if I want to play another dungeon crawler. Maybe I’ll wait and see if Totori Plus comes over?

I’ve never really heard of the term “cross-buy” but the PS1 games I bought via PSN on my PS3 are available on my Vita without any additional charge.
