There is simply not enough to convince people. That price is the biggest problem. We can forget them changing the DRM crap, but that price coupled with it doesn’t make it look like an alternative.

It is a rape joke, though. I do feel the guy was just making a corny joke to be honest. It felt regurgitated, extremely campy but at the same time- not malicious. It was irresponsible, yes. Should we have his head for it? No. He could apologize and explain that he didn’t realize the joke would be so offensive.

Whether that’s true or not doesn’t matter, you just own up to your mistakes and people won’t dwell on it too much. I don’t think he should lose his job over it, that seems like something that happens every so often with things like this now.

What are you even saying? PC go unsupported for multiple reasons, one being that not everyone will own the exact same PC at the same time for 6 yrs for you to feed them games designed exactly for the spec set. PC are inherently capable of outperforming because the ability to modify a spec set beyond it's original retail iteration. And they are built to a person's personal needs/wants and not to be affordable while functional.

If PC version of fighters were more supported then yes, people would absolutely play fighters on their PCs. You can pirate PC games with little to know effort- fighting game players all about that. People have CPS2 & 3 emulator or Melty Blood on their computer. I play 2 hrs of Vanguard Princess each week. I'm looking to buy the Eigo press US port soon too. People care. You don't, there is a difference.

They have that XV exclusive, bungie and a $400 tag on top of that though. DRM is a big thing now, and companies don’t realize how bad it is for business. Keeping things the same is the only way to make revenue as of late anyways. I don’t regard OoT as a masterpiece. It was too hyped for me, and I was playing WW at the time as well. Same as FFVII- had already play Parasite Eve, Chrono Trigger + Cross and FFIX. I hold them all in much higher regard.

I’m however very much looking forward to the last of us. I always hated how stealth survival horror was completely overlooked and how Splinter cell became information design showcase of directions and QTE. I felt a strong middle ground from what I’ve seen of the game. I’m proud of ND- don’t agree with every title they make, but they are a real competent group, that’s for sure.

They think there is market there.

And there is. But not for previously established franchises like these.
They need a simple Pick and put down type game- designed solely for iOS.
SE doesn't make games like that inherently, so they shouldn't be trying to get into this market. iOS and android aren't killing consoles- in fact, the cease pool of games reside on these platforms. Don't know what they are reaching for? Women? Make a game for them then, dumbasses.
