Both are amazing.

The clothing folds and the figure don't really match together. I think you are running before you are walking, folds-wise; drawing a full-blown loose outfit (afraid of calling it the wrong thing, so I'm being vague here xD) requires a TON of practice in drawing loose clothing altogether. Don't draw a complete outfit just yet; focus on the arms, then the upper torso, then the lower torso, etc. I'm not an expert at drawing clothing folds, so here is a useful reference I found :o

Trying to watch Hidan no Aria. I gave up at episode 4. I can't comment on it much, other than that it's the most trite anime I've ever watched. Predictable plot, stock characters, ostensibly shoved in fanservice.. Why JC Staff ever animated this garbage is beyond me.

I HATE it. I forget random concepts easily. Once took a trig class in college and passed with an A, only to forget everything a year later :S

I’m going to retake college algebra (even tho I don’t need to) and work my way up again. Math is difficult for me because it’s easy to forget the more complex concepts (like trigonometric identities, screw that shit).

Oh that’s pretty cool. Crypton is trying to use a toyota commercial as a trojan horse (she’s even riding inside, lol). Show the beer-toting car fanatics (or millions of zombie watchers) a shiny new car, alongside unfamiliar territory. Even if her appearance fails to arouse the viewers, she can latch onto the back of their minds for future commercials. That way when she appears again (in a different medium), the biters could recognize her as “that green haired girl from that toyota commercial”.

I don’t think the model looks that bad. It just looks too foreign to give a strong first impression. They need to redesign her so that she looks a bit cartoonish (while having some anime traits like big eyes). Something that would make her look like a chowder/flapjack character, I guess. A biker would probably go “huh?” after watching that commercial, IMO..

It's not really work, it's just for fun. The money I get in SL can't be transferred back to real money, anyways. I'm just trying to see how far I could go in making something decent and feature-filled in a game that's notorious for looking ugly.

This was the ONLY etna avatar in SL. When I saw this, I thought to myself "this looks pretty bad.. i could do better". So I made my own.

It seems like most people who actually use SL like my avatars.. the others do not. The nay-sayers just refuse to comment on them (One asshole I'll keep anonymous even told me he wouldn't say anything because it's for SL, wtf). I know I can't change a few stubborn opinions, but I’d love to change other, less-biased people. My ultimate goal is to improve the overall quality of my avatars. I've received very little complaints in-world (and they're usually petty things like "no extra eye colors"), so I'm hungry for some crit outside of SL. And that's why this topic exists, lol.

Yeah, it's to avoid the wall-eyed stare that some anime heads are burdened with.

Sorry to bump this again, but I'd like to show how the update is going so far. (yes that's a floating head, that's how people build in SL lol)

I sort of like it. The face looks flat-ish in the side view to avoid strange lighting issues, which the old head had. Its top, back, and sides have all been flattened to allow users to easily fit on custom hair. It's currently under the animation stage, where I draw all the different variations on the face. That'll be something one might be more interested in. More on that in the next update.

Oooh, now I know what turns you off from liking a figure. I agree, the remilia scarlet figure has a realistic, overdeveloped mouth. Also, her nose is shaded similar to a muppet’s. It would be more fitting for midna, not remilia.

The mouth is just a placeholder for now. When its done, it can be fully customized (since it’s not a figure it can’t have one powerful expression). It can change its state (from neutral, to happy, to upset, to the toothy lucchini grin)

I’ll be more than glad to show the updated Raspberyl. Etna’s head is getting revamped, so this one is old.
